2 mobile trading card game images that I Art Directed and outsourced for the game Heroes & Havoc

I was the Studio Art Director at Electrified Games and led the visual development of this high-profile battle card game.  My responsibilities included, but were not limited to: the production of backgrounds/game boards, FX design and creation, UI design and creation, character design, character animation, card animation and UI design.  I built and managed the art team for this first generation version of The Pokemon Trading Card Game on PC.

Character design Art Direction for a Fantasy-themed mobile strategy game.  I created the top image and directed my art team in the creation of the bottom images.

This was an X-Com styled, 3D battle card game which incorporated Google Earth into its game design.  I oversaw a small team of 3 artists and together we created this gameplay demo video using Maya, Photoshop and After Effects.

This is a concept illustration Imade as a potential card design for another of my projects, a battle card game called "Barbarians at the Gate".  This image was created in Photoshop.

I created these images using Maya and Photoshop as teasers for the new Commander characters that we were releasing for Atomic Space Command.  I designed, built and posed the characters and then designed 'retro'-looking magazines to support and reinforce both the genre and the content.

These are concept paintings that I created for a Star Wars runner mobile game that i Art Directed.

I Art Directed the Sims franchise at EA for 6 years.  In that span, I directed both an internal team of artists as well as used outsourcing in order to generate the large amount of content required by the game.

Various examples of magazine covers created to support the Spore marketing effort.  All magazine cover imagery was created using Photoshop. 

The top image was used as a giveaway poster in the Spore Game Guide.

One of the roles that I fulfilled at Maxis/EA while Art Director on the Sims Franchise was the hands-on creation of marketing assets.  This image was for an issue of Computer Gaming Monthly.  I built the model, posed the characters, arranged the layout and lit the scene to create the final image.

I also created the cover of Newsweek Magazine for November 25, 2002.

These images are building design sketches that I created for Spore along with the in-game assets that the art team created.
